First Official Race - March Forth Fun Run 10K

Ran my first ever 'official' race this morning: March Forth Fun Run down at Greenlake. I signed up for the 10K which is like uhhhh 6+ something miles I could Google the exact mileage but I am lazy womp womp.

I haven't ran more than a mile in a couple months.

A friend asked me to do a painting of her dog. Usually I don't like doing things for friends -- not because I'm a douche but because I'm afraid that I won't produce something to their expectations. I have decided to look past that and just do as much as I can, no regards if they like it or not (lol maybe thats douchy sounding). I feel that it would give me good practice and at the same time hopefully getting some happy friends.

Keep Moving Forward

I feel I have been making good progress with my personal goals so far -- every day I'm inching closer, just trying to keep pushing forward. I personally feel that I have a strong work ethic and am able to align myself constantly with my goals. But, I still don't think I'm doing enough.

Support Your Local Library!

The published book is slowing deteriorating with the advent of e-readers, e-ink, e-pages, e-covers, e-porn. Libraries are dying, b. Don't let this happen! There is just something about having a real Playboy in your hand, turning musty (maybe crusty) paper pages... You can't replace that.

Seriously though, support your local library! There are many ways to support, here's how I personally did it.

The Handshake Debacle

I want to shed light on perhaps one of the more awkward things that happens amongst young males -- the casual handshake. You won't find many male/female interactions of this nature -- usually those interactions involve hugs (#inthere), kisses on the lips (#mybodyisready), feeling of breasts (#igab), etc.

But I digress, allow me to disect this handshake debacle.

Gun Range Virgin

Today I went with a couple of my co-worker friends to the gun range -- it was my very first time (that's what she said? Maybe? I didn't build it up enough.. that's what she said? Maybe?).

My first thought was, 'Wow. These are real guns.'

My first emotion was, to be completely honest, fear.
